Jacob Bailey signs to play with Tennessee Tech
Signal Mountain High golfing standout Jacob Bailey has signed with Tennessee Tech.

At his signing ceremony, the son of Jonathan and Michelle Bailey said he humbly thanked God, his parents, and many others he says contributed to his success. The list included high school coach Coach Rodney Mitchell, Swing Coach Bruce Etter, Chattanooga Golf and Country Club, Paul Helle, Head Pro, Signal Mountain Golf and Country Club, and swing coach Rusty Pickett.

During his 2015 senior year, Jacob led Signal Mountain as team captain.  He finished 17th in the State Tournament, 2nd in the Region, 2nd in the District, 4th at City Prep, and 5th at the Willowbrook Invitational.

Coach Mitchell described Jacob as a coach's dream.
"He is a leader on and off the course, has an unsurpassed work ethic and great golfing temperament, and he is a good student. While we have had several lady golfers who have gone on to play Division I golf, Jacob is our first male golfer to reach that same level, and we have had a number of really strong golfers on our boys' teams. It is quite an accomplishment.  All of us at Signal Mountain wish Jacob the best at Tennessee Tech."
